How does the markilux 8800 model differ from the markilux 7800?
The markilux 8800 and markilux 7800 on-glass awnings differ only in the design of the cassette. This allows you to choose the shape of the cassette to match the architecture of your house or the shape of the conservatory or patio roof. The markilux 8800 impresses with a round cassette, the markilux 7800 fits cubic buildings thanks to its angular design.
How to operate the markilux 8800 on-glass awning?
You can conveniently control the markilux 8800 model by (radio) motor: with remote control, by app or by means of sensors that automatically react to the respective weather conditions.
What are the advantages of an on-glass awning like the markilux 8800 for conservatories and patio roofs?
On-glass awnings such as the markilux 8800 have the advantage that the awning cover intercepts sun rays before they can enter the conservatory. This means that heat build-up inside can be minimized. By mounting the awning outside, the full room height is maintained.

Thanks to the sophisticated counter tensioning technology and the stable construction, a single awning can shade an area of up to 36 m² (with tracfix 30 m²). For larger areas, up to five awnings can be coupled, so that a maximum area of 180 m² can be realized.

On request, the markilux 8800 on-glass awning can be equipped with tracfix (secure cover guidance zip technology without gap between cover and guide track). With tracfix, the markilux 8800 is available in the following maximum sizes (width × draw): 500 × 600 cm / 550 × 500 cm / 600 × 450 cm.

Very easy to arrange a new cover for our outdoor retractable awning. Adam came to our home with samples of replacement materials and gave some sound advice on which ones to avoid. The installation team were very efficient and left everything very clean and tidy.
CUSTOMER BEWARE. Luxaflex has two versions of the Collection Booklets. One Booklet is for the Customers. The other Booklet is for the Dealers Only - Product Guide, which is not available to Customers as it lists potential "product irregularities". Get a copy before you sign on the dotted line.
Terrible. A rep came to measure up six months ago. Every time I asked him a question, he said just come to the showroom and we'll discuss it there. Every single question. Then he started asking questions about what my husband did for a living. Very odd man and quite off. Never heard another thing from them after he spent an hour here measuring up. Definitely won't use them.

The staff were very friendly and the Luxaflex products are high quality.However we were told the blinds would be ready in 3 weeks but instead it was 2.5 months. We called a number of times and kept getting told there were delays. I would have preferred a realistic time frame and for Abesco to call us rather than us calling multiple times to follow up.

We chose the blinds and curtains from A'Besco Blinds & Awnings with the help of Troy (who really has a great taste and put your needs at first), put in an order and had the blinds and curtains installed within 2 months. I was referred to the company. They visited my Martin Place office twice, took a 50% deposit, and then turned around to say they could not do the job. Needless to say, I was disappointed that they were unable to do a job in a high level commercial building in the heart of the CBD. I’m now on the lookout for another service provider who is hopefully better equipped to do city jobs.
